Windsor Hospice Team

At Windsor Hospice Services, we are committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients and their families. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to ensuring that each individual receives personalized and holistic support during this difficult time. Here is an overview of our team members and their roles

Medical Director

Our Medical Director oversees all aspects of clinical care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality medical support. He collaborates closely with your physician to develop and manage a personalized care plan tailored to your specific needs, prioritizing your comfort and dignity. Our Medical Director holds a doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathy from an accredited university, is fully licensed to practice medicine, and excels at fostering effective working relationships with all staff members, the board of directors, the multidisciplinary team, and other physicians.

Registered Nurses

Our Registered Nurse oversees all aspects of clinical care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality medical support. They collaborate closely with your physician to develop and manage a personalized care plan tailored to your specific needs, prioritizing your comfort and dignity.

Our Registered Nurse is a graduate from an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate school of nursing, holding a current license as a registered nurse or meeting the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). They also possess a current Texas driver’s license. A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse in a clinical care setting is required, with hospice experience preferred.

Social Workers

Our Social Workers provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families. They assist with navigating healthcare systems, accessing community resources, and offering counseling to help manage the emotional challenges associated with end-of-life care. Our Social Workers hold master’s degrees in social work from state-accredited programs. Those with bachelor’s degrees hired after February 12, 2008, are required to be supervised by a master’s-level social worker.

Chaplains

Our Chaplains provide spiritual support tailored to the individual beliefs and preferences of our patients and their families. They offer a listening ear, provide religious services if desired, and help address spiritual questions or concerns that may arise during this time.

Your Physician

Your personal physician remains an integral part of your care team. They collaborate with our hospice team to ensure continuity of care and to make sure that all medical decisions align with your wishes and overall care plan.

Bereavement Coordinators

Our Bereavement Coordinators offer support to families before and after the loss of their loved one. They provide grief counseling, support groups, and resources to help families cope with their loss and navigate the grieving process

Our Volunteers

Our Volunteers play a crucial role in providing additional support and companionship to patients and their families. They offer respite for caregivers, assist with daily activities, and provide a comforting presence, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients.

At Windsor Hospice Services, our team works together seamlessly to ensure that every patient and family receives the comprehensive, compassionate care they deserve. We are here to support you every step of the way.
